Animal Resistance and Solidarity Talk

I am excited to present with the 2021 Virtual Talk Series hosted by the Society for the Study of Ethics and Animals. On June 15th, I’ll give a talk on animal resistance and the importance of listening to animals’ voices while forging solidarity across species.

One of the individuals the presentation will discuss is Fred, a goat who escaped an auction yard in New Jersey, lived among a herd of deer, and gained a network of supporters. After living free for a year, Fred was credited with helping 60 goats and sheep escape from the same auction yard that he escaped by headbutting the gate.

The study of animal resistance can have a strong pedagogical impact, inspiring people to think more deeply about the lives and plights of other animals.

June 15, 11 am PDT. Hosted by the SSEA.
